Managing Date in Windows

This article was born from the fact that I was creating the online help for one of my programs and trying to explain to a page that fully control for the standard Windows date, I have found virtually nothing now and then will connect my article, which I hope you like it and is especially useful for those who do not know how or they know little about. First we’ll talk about what version of Windows XP and then Vista in particular one of let’s see below.

This picture shows that this control is nothing more than a combo box subclass (the end of the programming). From top to bottom we can see the standard control off, then the active and finally open. Not everywhere will see him with the check to the left, in fact very few times, it shows only where the value date should be considered or not. To insert the value or open control and navigate within the mini-calendar, or you click on the day or month or year (making selected) and type the desired number (in the case of the month just enter the numerical value of that month, eg. July = 7). Another way to choose the value of the arrows in the top and bottom, with the first value is incremented by one, so if we are to esmpio on June, pressing the up arrow key can go in July and so on. Obviously with the down arrow key you will get the opposite effect.
