All our management software have lists to view data, normal and virtual that allow exceptional performance. The main reason why we adopt the list view (report) is that the user has a vision of 20 or more records at a time, also, in the same view, you can sort, search and filter rows as much as you want.
Selecting a value is simple, you can just left click with the mouse to move and need to use the arrow keys, page keys to move one screen at a time (20-30 values depending on the size of the list). This is why most people can do that, but the problem comes when you need to select multiple rows together, to do this there are two ways, using a mouse and keyboard together. While holding down the “Ctrl” key you can add to your selection each row, even jumping from one to another row while holding down the “Shift” you can select the range that goes from the selected row up to where we click the left mouse button, you can even do the scrolling window to select multiple pages. There are also other ways of selecting values in a list, but the methods described above are sufficient to operate smoothly.
In the specific case of our management software, however, we always insert the buttons in the menu that let you select all the rows or invert the selection, very powerful ability to select rows that interest us, starting from the less important.
